About
I am a South African born printmaker and research scientist currently living in the United States. My work is primarily concerned with the natural landscape and the role that this plays in memory and identity formation. The majority of my work has been focused on Cape Town and the Atlantic Seaboard. Presently, I am working on a series of paintings, etchings and drawings of the Sierra Nevada. These days, I make my home in Reno, Nevada with my husband and two little girls. I am still discovering this new landscape and enjoy the changing seasons and the stark beauty of the desert and Lake Tahoe.
I studied fine art printmaking at the Michaelis School of Fine Art in Cape Town and subsequently pursued a science career.
